impact people and be impacted
Impact People and Be Impacted.
Jesus once summarized the entire Bible in one great sentence, "Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself." Many times as Christians we try our hardest to just love GOD. But Jesus explains, that's just not enough and only half the equation. Jesus calls us to love our NEIGHBORS as well. He commands all Christians to pour their hearts into others.
One of the greatest accomplishments someone can have is to leave an imprint on another person; to have influence and to show someone the freedom available in Christ is the best life one could imagine.
At HMC, we want you to influence a culture for Christ through student ministry, unique outreach, prison ministry, worship, church planting, road trips, community work and much, much more! In addition, all students are required to attend one missions trip. Students will have three choices to choose from when they arrive in the fall.
The ministry possibilities are endless.
grow deeper in your relationship with God
In addition to classes, students will read classic and contemporary Christian literature, engage in class discussions with fellow students and HMC staff, and hear lectures from members of River of Life as well as surrounding ministry workers and community leaders. In addition, you experience a greater love for Jesus and His Church through the life-changing conferences, dynamic weekly services, personal Scripture study, and exciting chapels of Heartland Master's Commission.
"A great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.”
- John Maxwell
Leadership is more than just a buzz word. Effective leadership is essential for life. As people grow, a successful outcome is less about what obstacles people face and more how they react.
Experience is highly valued. At HMC you will experience specialized leadership training from area businessmen, youth pastors, qualified entreprenuers, church planters, and other successful individuals in our Life Lessons class who share practical truths they have learned along their journey. Students will also be involved in various team-building exercises.
Lastly, students will attend weekly accountability with fellow students and be involved in student-led, morning worship along with their daily devotions.
